I’ve been in the process, for some time now, of scanning all of our old family photos that my mom and dad took when we were kids. I was looking through them this morning and came across this Christmas-themed shot. I can hardly remember a time before artificial christmas trees, but I guess it did exist. Here’s a shot of Dad cutting down our tree for that year. That’s my sister Julie sitting on the ground. It appears that she is well over the whole process of choosing the perfect tree. And Dad, I’m kind of digging that coat of yours.

It was difficult, but I finally parted ways with that jacket when I moved here to Florida. It was 39 degrees here this morning. Guess I should have kept it!!!!
