the march

It’s been a couple of days since the National Equality March in D.C. It was an amazing day. To see all of the people, especially the families and straight supports. For a couple of hours, I got to hold Greg’s hand in public, and not fear for our safety or receive disapproving glares. We just got to be.

I have a lot more to say, but I haven’t been able to put it all together yet.  For now, here are some photos from the march. These signs speak a great deal for me. The most heart breaking is from the 82 year-old gentleman below. He has spent his entire 82 years without equal rights in a county founded on the very basic principle that all men are created equal. Many of you sent kind words and thought to us this weekend. Greg and I appreciated them so very much. You’ll never know just how much your love and support for us and our fight for equality means. Thank you from the bottom of our very full hearts.
