It's six a.m. on my one day off this week. And I'm awake…wide awake. No going back to sleep for this guy.
I had a weird dream last night. I was Barack Obama and it was election night. They called the election, way early, at 9:00 p.m. for me. I kicked John McCain's ass. Landslide, baby. Greg was there, will he be called the First Partner? Hillary was there too, though not as happy for me as I'd hoped. Hill, where's the love? I was wearing a dark brown suit, but had on a very light shade of khaki socks. That was not a good look, but hey I, Barack Obama, was president-elect. A weird weird dream.
On an aside, and back to reality, is John McCain going to have any dignity/credibility left after this election? The "maverick" is hitting the bottom of the barrel in his latest attacks. It's to the point where I'm starting to feel sorry and a little embarrassed for the old guy. Way to play that "far right playbook" you independent guy, you.
Last night Greg and I went to the new Five Guys Burgers restaurant in Montrose with Michele and her delightful mother. Any time spent with momma Setzer is good times. Dinner was fantastic. The atmosphere there is a bit more frantic than we typically prefer. But the burgers and fries were amazing. Momma Setzer had a hot dog, but not just any hot dog. It was grilled, split down the middle, topped with cheese…and wait for it…b-a-c-o-n! That item will be ordered with great pride and joy upon our next visit. Which I'm sure will not be too long from now.
Ok, so this was one of my most scattered and odd posts that I've written. But, hey it's six freakin' a.m., people.
Momma Setzer loves you guys!!
