After weeks of searching, I took a tip from Michele and arrived at the Best Buy in Montrose this morning about a half an hour before they opened at 10 a.m. When the front doors slid open, I was first to the video game department.  I looked all around the Wii section for a Fit. There were none to be found. A carrying case, yes. Yoga mat, you bet, but no balance board. I saw a young girl in a royal blue Best Buy polo shirt.  I asked her in hushed tones, "Miss, do you have any Wii Fits today?" In an even more hushed tone she replied, "Yes. just head up to the check outs, and I will bring one up from the back for you." I imagine this is what it is like for junkies hitting up their dealer for a dime-bag. Everything on the DL (that’s down low). Who knows? All I know, is that I got me and Greg a Wii Fit.

I headed home, busted it out of the box and had it up and running in seconds. And wouldn’t you know, it did, in fact make me sweat. By far, my favorite section is the yoga moves. I’ve always thought I would enjoy yoga. It looks very calming, and I think I need more calm in my life. I tend to get worked up and stressed out about things easily. So far, in day one, I have learned several moves such as half-moon, warrior, tree and sun salutation. I enjoy sun salutation the most. I’m sure these are all very basic moves, but I am really enjoying myself.  I hope to make these a regular morning routine.

Greg is off Thursday and Friday this week.  I’m hoping we can take a morning to bike the towpath.

You have to play the balance game with soccer balls (and yes panda heads) flying at you. I swear if I had been taped doing that I would have ended up on You Tube!!
