the biscuits, oh my goodness, the biscuits

First, have you noticed? I’m back to blogging on a more regular basis. Have I become too self-indulgent? Probably, but you’re the one reading it right now.  And, I appreciate that. So, thank you.  I’ve gotten in the routine of getting home from work, making dinner, then sitting down to blog a bit. Then, with…

sick of my time off

So yup, I had a four-day Memorial Day holiday weekend off from work.  I’ve spent three of those four days pretty much confined to the couch with a cold, or allergies, or the bubonic plague. I’m not sure which.  I’m feeling a little better today. On Sunday we did get out for a little bit….

Five heirloom varieties of tomatoes, a pepper plant, yellow squash, thyme, chives and three varieties of basil. Local friends, anticipate the opportunity to share in this summer’s bounty. I also added…

foggy morning hikes

On Sunday Greg and I ventured out into the foggy morning to the Cuyahoga Valley National Park to hike a couple trails and take some pictures. Have I mentioned how lucky we are in Akron to have a National Park right at our front door step? It’s a great thing. The photo above is from…
