I don’t think that there could have been a more magical and perfect place to be this morning than the annual organic plant sale at the Crown Point Ecology Center. It was our first visit there, and most certainly not our last. The large red barn was filled with a huge variety of vegetable, herb…

five senses friday #2
seeing: canadian geese….everywhere. tasting: honey goat cheese on a simply amazing spinach & salmon salad. hearing: tighten up by the Black Keys. you know, Akron’s own Black Keys. smelling: newly strewn mulch in the flower beds. feeling: lucky, for all that I have. What are your five senses from the this last week? Post them…
there was no ice cream on this day

end of a long weekend
Enjoyed a very restful four-day weekend filled with family, friends and fun. This morning, Greg and I hiked our now weekly Sunday trail. We headed back to the Nature Realm. We left earlier this morning and headed to the Cleveland Botanical Garden to check out this year’s edition of Orchid Mania. I really believe that this…
happy birthday Greg

It’s nice that they’re right next to each other on the Tallmadge Circle. We’re heading up to Lakewood later today for lunch at Melt. It’s one of Greg’s favorite places to eat…
greg’s birthday cupcakes
Greg’s birthday is this weekend. I offered to make him the cupcake of his choice. He chose the Triple-Citrus Cupcake from Martha Stewart’s Cupcake cookbook. The cupcakes have the zest from oranges, lemons and limes in the batter. I divided the glaze in three dishes and made one for each citrus. And I have to…
