three tickets to the orchid show

Greg, Megan and I traveled up to Cleveland this afternoon to see the Orchid Show at the Cleveland Botanical Gardens. This is the second trip in a month for Greg and I. Today we became members. We only have to visit three more times this year for it to pay for its self. That’s very…

a very sweet thank you

It’s been a busy week. I’m in the middle, as of today, of an 11 days in a row stretch at work. The good news…I will have the next two weekends, yes I said two, off. Hopefully Greg and I will get up to the orchid exhibit at the Cleveland Botanical Gardens next weekend. In…

the cookies are everywhere

It’s that time of year again…the cookies have arrived from the girl scouts. You remember, those cookies you ordered a month or two ago. Those cookies that you planned to freeze, yes, that’s why you bought four boxes of thin mints…to freeze them so you could enjoy them for many more months to come. But…

Greg and I had a really great day today. We’ve been in dire need of more tropical surroundings so we headed up to the Cleveland Botanical Gardens Glasshouse today. It was positively refreshing and as Greg said, it recharged our souls. It’s been a brutal winter. Also, this visit was my first real test for…

siriusly?

So the Sirius satellite radio in my car is no longer communicating with the antenna on the roof. I keep getting a message that says “antenna not detected.” I’ve had it for about 3 or 4 years. So is it time to end my subscription and save about $15/month, or should I get it fixed?

baked

Continuing with the theme that this is definitely not a food blog, I made some treats this evening to take to work tomorrow. I baked Orange Almond Blueberry Muffins from a cookbook I mentioned earlier in the year. I had to taste one before taking them tomorrow. Quality control…you know. Greg and I split it,…
